Job summary

Grand Forks Public Schools Head Start program seeks a Classified 9-Month Food Service Aide. You will prepare and serve meals to students, focusing on nutrition and appealing presentation, while maintaining sanitation standards and safety.

The role runs Monday through Friday, about 32.5 hours weekly, with a start between early morning and early afternoon. Requires a High School Diploma or HiSET and strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and students in a school

Work Environment and Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need to consistently engage in walking and standing; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; the physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds; maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.

Terms of Employment

Nine (9) months (academic school year of the students enrolled).

Hours / Days

Working 6.5 hours per day Monday - Friday at 32.5 hours per week; between the hours of 6:00am and 2:00 pm.
