Brookings School District 05-1 is seeking a Cook-Baker to prepare and serve nutritious meals to students. The position follows the school calendar, with a 7.5 hour day and a $18.25 hourly rate, and includes health insurance premium contributions and other benefits.

The role reports to the Director of Child Nutrition and Kitchen Manager, and requires a high school diploma, ability to work with diverse individuals, and adherence to sanitation and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
• Prepares food according to a planned menu and determines if the finished product is of the best quality both in flavor and appearance before it is served.
• Assumes responsibility for seeing that during meal service periods the supply of food offered is replenished regularly.
• Shows proper care and consideration for all equipment.
• Assists in the daily clean up of the kitchen and service areas.
• Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.
• Follows proper sanitation requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Director of Child Nutrition & Kitchen Manager

Primary Function

To prepare and serve the students nutritious meals in an atmosphere of courtesy, efficiency and cleanliness.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis.

Terms Of Employment

The Board shall offer a letter of agreement with wages and benefits to be determined by the board as delineated in the Classified Employee Handbook.

Evaluation Procedure

This position is responsible to the Director of Child Nutrition and the performance of this position will be evaluated by the Director of Child Nutrition.
