The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting and possess effective communication skills. Description
Maintain the kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner. Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities, following prepared menus and portion control guides. Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures for meals. Prepare pureed foods and ensure food presentation is appealing to residents. Work cooperatively with personnel across all departments and assist with serving meals. Maintain sanitation by cleaning cooking areas and serving carts, and ensure all cleaning schedules are followed.
Report resident care concerns and potential issues to the Administrator and/or Director of Nurses. Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff. Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor and ensure all responsibilities are fulfilled.
