The Lodge at Schroon Lake is seeking a motivated line cook to safely prepare and cook menu items, following established recipes and standards. You will work with a culinary team to deliver consistently high-quality dishes that delight guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ kitchen experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Serve‑Safe certification and allergy awareness training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following recipes, portions, and safety standards.
• Follow techniques: grilling, frying, roasting, baking, sautéing for consistent flavor and texture.
• Monitor temperatures, times, and quantities to prevent waste and ensure quality.
• Collaborate with culinary team and management to develop menu items and promos.
• Explore new ingredients and techniques to showcase culinary creativity.
• Stay updated on trends and seasonal ingredients for menu planning.
• Maintain clean, sanitized kitchen and compliant with health regs.
• Assist with inventory: receiving, storing, rotating, stock checks.
