Huey’s in the Memphis area is seeking an Experienced Grill Cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook food according to Huey’s recipes, ensuring quality and timeliness. Set up your station each shift, prep ingredients, and follow health and safety standards while working with a friendly, fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Health Department regulations and safety standards.

• Make sure that food is ready at the right time, in the right order, and at the right temperature.
• Meet required ticket times for appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
• Clean station and may assist other cooks with cleaning.
• Communicate and cooperate with back-of-house and front-of-house coworkers.

Job Summary

A Grill/Fry/Pita Cook prepares, cooks, and dresses food according to recipes and customer requests. They ensure everything is set up correctly before starting work. They use specialized kitchen tools to prepare ingredients and create finished products for the restaurant.

Responsibilities

Setting up and stocking his or her station before the start of each service

Prepping food each day and following Huey’s recipes

Complying with Health Department regulations and safety standards

Serving and preparing food of the highest quality

Make sure that food is ready at the right time, in the right order, and at the right temperature

Meeting required ticket times for appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

Cleaning his or her station and may be asked to help other cooks clean up their stations

Communicating and cooperating with back-of-house and front-of-house co-workers

Complying with Huey’s policies and procedures

Qualifications
