Job summary

Huey’s in the Memphis area is seeking an experienced Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. The role covers grill, fry, and pita cooking, assembling finished plates according to Huey’s recipes and customer requests while maintaining your station and proper temperatures.

You will prep and set up before service, follow health regulations, and work with back- and front-of-house staff to deliver high-quality meals. Compensation is $15.00–$18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong organization and active listening skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Excellent time management and flexible availability for scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and stocking his or her station before the start of each service.
• Prepping food each day and following Huey’s recipes.
• Complying with Health Department regulations and safety standards.
• Serving and preparing food of the highest quality.
• Make sure that food is ready at the right time, in the right order, and at the right temperature.
• Meeting required ticket times for appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
• Cleaning his or her station and may be asked to help other cooks clean up their stations.
• Communicating and cooperating with back-of-house and front-of-house co-workers.
• Complying with Huey’s policies and procedures.

Job Summary

A Grill/Fry/Pita Cook prepares, cooks, and dresses food according to recipes and customer requests. They ensure everything is set up correctly before starting work. They use specialized kitchen tools to prepare ingredients and create finished products for the restaurant.
