Job summary

The Avalon of Bloomfield Township is seeking a dedicated cook to join our senior living community in Phoenix. You will prepare, cook, and plate meals, ensuring high quality and sanitation across shifts that end by 9:00 PM.

This role requires at least three years of cooking experience in a related setting, weekend availability, and the ability to pass background checks. We offer benefits, meal privileges, and growth opportunities within the culinary team.

Qualifications

• Three years of cooking experience in a senior living community, hotel, restaurant, or club.
• Arizona Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Must pass drug screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate meals while maintaining a sanitary kitchen.
• Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistent quality.

Position Details:

• Pay: $20-23/ hr
• Schedule:Varied shifts from 11:00am-7:30pm,11:30am - 8:00pm, and on Sundays 7a-3p
  Working 5 days per week.
  Working weekends and occasional holidays.
• Location:4555 E. Mayo Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85050
• Vaccination:FLU vaccine REQUIRED

Who you are:

• A passion for cooking!
• A minimum of three years’ experience, as a cook in a senior living community, hotel, restaurant, or club.
• Comfortable working weekends and occasional holidays.
• Will be on your feet for extended periods of time and occasionally lift to 50lbs. working in a restaurant style kitchen.
• Must pass drug screening and background checks for employment.
• Must have Arizona Food Handlers Card or get it upon hire.
