Job summary

Sagewood in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled cook to prepare, cook, and plate meals for our senior living community. You will use your knowledge of how a commercial kitchen operates to keep the kitchen sanitary and efficient while delivering high-quality meals.

This role offers hourly pay of $20-23, varied shifts from 11:00am to 7:30pm or 11:30am to 8:00pm, and weekends. You’ll enjoy no late nights, PTO, health benefits, and a supportive team committed to exceptional dining and care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience as a cook in a senior living community, hotel, restaurant, or club.
• Able to work weekends and occasional holidays.
• Pass drug screening and background checks for employment.
• Must have or obtain Arizona Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, cook, and plate dishes for residents in a senior living community.
• Maintain a sanitary, tidy kitchen and adhere to safety standards.
• Follow assigned schedules and work collaboratively with the culinary team.

• Pay: $20-23/ hr
• Schedule:Varied shifts from 11:00am-7:30pm,11:30am - 8:00pm, and on Sundays 7a-3p
  Working 5 days per week.
  Working weekends and occasional holidays.

Who you are:

• A passion for cooking!
• A minimum of three years’ experience, as a cook in a senior living community, hotel, restaurant, or club.
• Comfortable working weekends and occasional holidays.
• Will be on your feet for extended periods of time and occasionally lift to 50lbs. working in a restaurant style kitchen.
• Must pass drug screening and background checks for employment.
• Must have Arizona Food Handlers Card or get it upon hire.
