We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time COOK positions.

Location: Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle - 2520 5th Street North, Columbus, MS 39701. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules, 5:00 am - 5:00 pm. Days and hours may vary. Full-time employees require open availability. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous culinary experience in a high-volume environment preferred.

Pay Rate: $12.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares high-quality food items per recipes and instructions.
2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation.
3. Uses ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records.
4. Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards.
5. Stores or discards excess food following safe handling procedures.
6. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
7. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
8. Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
9. Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
10. Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
11. Attends in-service and safety meetings.
12. Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
13. Performs job safely, maintaining a safe work environment.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
15. Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance, following HACCP standards.
16. Adheres to safety policies, including the use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
