  • Location: Baptist Memorial Hospital - Golden Triangle - 2520 5th Street North, Columbus, MS 39701. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules. 5:00 am - 5:00 pm. Days and hours may vary. Full-time employees require open availability. More details upon interview.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares high-quality food items following standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food items.
  • Uses established ticket procedures during service. Maintains records during service periods.
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and service, maintaining high cleanliness standards. Stores or discards excess food safely.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized. Ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
  • Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings.
  • Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
  • Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
  • Prioritizes safety for yourself and others.
  • Follows all company policies, including safe handling of knives, hot pans, and proper lifting techniques.
