• Location: Roper Hospital - 316 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules; Days may vary, 11:00 am to 7:15 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior culinary experience is preferred.
• Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to standards, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares high-quality food items following recipes and schedules.
• Serves meals using correct portions, ensuring proper temperature, attractiveness, and taste. Tastes all foods.
• Uses established procedures during service, maintains records.
• Cleans kitchen areas, stores or discards excess food per safety standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of refrigerators and storerooms.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
• Assists in planning, record-keeping, and ordering supplies.
• Reports maintenance issues or accidents promptly.
• Attends safety and in-service meetings.
• Maintains positive relationships with coworkers and clients.
• Follows safety standards, including HACCP.
• Performs other duties as assigned, adhering to all safety policies.
