Job summary

Navion Senior Solutions' Chatham Ridge in NC is seeking a Cook who enjoys preparing delicious meals and working with a team to create a welcoming dining experience for residents. You will help prepare and serve fresh, appealing meals, adhering to safety and sanitation standards while delivering high quality service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it, culinary training, and prior food prep experience.

Qualifications

• Must have ServSafe certificate or be able to obtain it.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• 1 year related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets.
• 18+ years old in NC to operate power-driven machines (where applicable).
• 3 years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred.
• Culinary arts experience preferred.
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and promote a positive dining environment.

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older. In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
• Three years' experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
