Location: Federated Insurance - 121 East Park Square, Owatonna, MI 55060. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, following established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares high-quality food items per standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all food items.
3. Uses ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records.
4. Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
5. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
6. Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
7. Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
8. Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
9. Attends safety and in-service meetings.
10. Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers.
11. Performs job safely, maintaining a clean, safe environment.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
13. Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
14. Personal commitment to safety.
15. Follows all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols like using gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
