Job Title: Cook

We are hiring immediately for full-time COOK positions at Walnut Hill School, 12 Highland Street, Natick, MA 01760. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; four 10-hour shifts, Friday through Monday. Hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Previous scratch cooking and lead cooking experience preferred.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepare food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality and safety at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
2. Serve meals, ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste all prepared food.
3. Use established ticket procedures; maintain records during service.
4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
5. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
6. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
7. Report maintenance needs and safety issues immediately.
8. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
9. Maintain good relationships with coworkers and customers.
10. Follow HACCP standards and safety policies, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
