Job Title: Cook

We are hiring immediately for full-time COOK positions at Amesbury Public Schools, located at 5 Highland Street, Amesbury, MA 01913. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 1:30 pm. More details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Prior cook and culinary experience are required.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
  2. Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste all food items.
  3. Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records.
  4. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and proper storage of food and supplies.
  5. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
  6. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  7. Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
  8. Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  9. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
  10. Maintain good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
  11. Follow safety standards, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
