Job Title: Cook at Dismas Charities Inc.

Pay Range and Benefits

Base pay range: $17.20/hr - $22.13/hr. Enjoy a $500 sign-on bonus ($250 paid after 2nd paycheck, remaining after 3 months). Full-time position, 40 hours/week, with variable split shifts: 4:30 AM - 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM.

Responsibilities

1. Meal Preparation: Prepare meals and supplements, ensure compliance with regulations, and follow the approved menu.
2. Meal Planning: Assist in menu planning, ensuring compliance and communicating substitutions.
3. Food and Kitchen Management: Manage inventory, order supplies, and network with community resources.
4. Health and Safety: Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
5. Record Keeping: Maintain documentation related to food service operations.

Job Requirements

• Minimum two years of paid food service experience, including administrative duties such as ordering, budgeting, and inspection planning.
• Ability to cook, organize, and manage within budget guidelines.
• Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to humid conditions, occasional exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, outdoor weather, and electrical hazards. Moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
