Job Opening: Cook at Morrison Healthcare

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Cook position at Morrison Healthcare.

Location: Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital - 100 Callen Boulevard, Summerville, SC 29461. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary, rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Prior experience in food service, healthcare, or retail cooking is required.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepare food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items following recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
• Serve meals ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation; taste all food items.
• Use ticket procedures and maintain records during service.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Attend safety and in-service meetings.
• Maintain good relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Follow safety standards, HACCP, and all company policies, including proper use of protective gear and safe lifting techniques.
