Job Summary

The Cook prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
2. Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, attractiveness, and taste. Taste all prepared food.
3. Follow ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records.
4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen after preparation and serving, store or discard excess food per safety procedures.
5. Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, storing food and supplies properly.
6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
7. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
8. Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
9. Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
10. Attend in-service and safety meetings.
11. Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers.
12. Work safely, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
14. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
15. Commit to personal and team safety.
16. Follow all company policies, including safety procedures when handling equipment and hot items.
