Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes to meet schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food.
• Uses established procedures during service. Responsible for records from area worked during service.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation, maintains cleanliness, and stores or discards excess food safely.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
• Reports maintenance needs or faulty equipment immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers.
• Performs job safely, maintaining a safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Commits to safety and adheres to company policies, including the use of protective gear and proper lifting techniques.
