Job summary

Resthaven (Holland, Michigan) is seeking a dedicated full-time kitchen team member to prepare meals for residents in a faith-centered, not-for-profit setting. Shifts run 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM with every other weekend, including Saturdays and Sundays, in a supportive, mission-driven culture.

You will follow standardized recipes, ensure portion accuracy, and maintain high sanitation standards while delivering compassionate service to residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and resident dietary needs.
• Accurately portion, plate, and serve food while maintaining presentation and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dishwashing, dining, and food preparation areas.
• Follow all food safety, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines, including documenting food temperatures.
• Open and close kitchen areas, including food storage, labeling, dating, and securing supplies.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and resident satisfaction.
• Support supervisors, assist with team training, and promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Maintain professional and respectful interactions with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and mission-centered expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay Range

• $16.00 - $18.55
• Pay is based on experience and applicable licensure
