Job summary

Resthaven is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization serving older adults. A full-time kitchen role is available, offering daytime hours with every-other-weekend rotation.

You will prepare meals, maintain kitchen hygiene, and ensure accurate serving aligned with resident needs and dietary guidelines. We value mission-driven teamwork, provide tuition reimbursement after 6 months, and offer an on-site clinic and no mandatory overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and dietary needs.
• Commitment to sanitation and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and resident dietary needs.
• Accurately portion, plate, and serve food while maintaining presentation and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining and food preparation areas.
• Follow food safety and infection prevention guidelines, including documenting temperatures.
• Open and close kitchen areas, label and secure supplies, and manage stores.
• Support supervisors, assist with team training, and promote a positive work environment.

• $16.00 - $18.55
  • Pay is based on experience and applicable licensure
