The CulinAIRY Kitchen cook prepares food made to order in front of the customer. Proper eye contact, facial expression, and ability to answer questions about the food being prepared are essential. The Cook must demonstrate safe food handling practices, prepare and serve proper portion sizes, and be able to multitask. Teamwork is expected.

Additional Responsibilities
  • The Patient Foods cook prepares patient food on demand according to the patient’s wishes within the limits of their diet order. Following recipes and instructions with high accuracy is essential, as any variation may impact health. Knowledge of food allergies is required. The Cook works as part of a team with the Room Service Hostess and Runner to ensure a positive meal experience. Ability to work with minimal supervision is essential.
  • The Production Cook prepares large quantities of food following recipes. Proper knife skills and timely judgment/decisions are necessary. The ability to read and follow new recipes, taste food, and suggest adjustments is important. Proper presentation of the finished product is a priority.
Education

GED/High School diploma preferred
