We are hiring immediately for a full-time COOK position.

Location: Miami Valley Hospital - 1 Wyoming Street, Dayton, OH 45409. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; weekdays, hours may vary. Some weekends and holidays required. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior cooking experience preferred but not required. Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste all prepared food.
• Use established procedures during service and maintain records.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
• Report maintenance issues immediately.
• Attend safety and in-service meetings.
• Maintain good relationships with coworkers and management.
• Follow HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and temperature.
• Adhere to safety policies, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and lifting techniques.
