Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for a full-time COOK position.
• Location: Ochsner St. Martin - 210 Champagne Boulevard, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time. Shifts include: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm or 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. Days may vary, including rotating weekends and holidays. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous culinary or food service experience required.
• Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to standards, ensuring quality and safety at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items following recipes and schedules.
2. Serve meals with correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste all food items.
3. Use ticket procedures during service. Maintain records from your area.
4. Clean kitchen post-service, store or discard excess food safely.
5. Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
7. Assist in planning, record-keeping, and ordering supplies.
8. Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
9. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
10. Maintain good relationships with team members and customers.
11. Follow safety standards, including HACCP and proper use of protective gear.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
