Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for full-time COOK positions.
• Location: BCBS of AL - 450 Riverchase Parkway East, Hoover, AL 35244. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Days may vary. 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior kitchen experience is required.
• Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available
• Pay Range: $16.50 to $18.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items according to recipes and schedules.
2. Serve meals using correct portions, maintaining standards for temperature, presentation, and taste.
3. Use ticketing procedures during service and maintain records.
4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.
5. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
6. Assist in planning, record-keeping, and ordering supplies.
7. Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
8. Participate in safety and training meetings.
9. Maintain good working relationships with team members and customers.
10. Follow all safety policies, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and lifting techniques.
