Job summary

King-Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge, IL is seeking a Full-Time Cook for the Day Shift in our community Bistro. Join a growing historic senior living campus and contribute to high culinary standards in a friendly, family-like atmosphere.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent, prior LTC or commercial kitchen cook experience if possible, and food handler/manager certification. BASSET training and English fluency are required; certifications should be renewed as needed.

Qualifications

• Food Handler certificate or Manager certificate required.
• BASSET training.
• Ability to maintain/renew certifications as required.
• Must be able to fluently communicate verbally and in written English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Bistro operations, including preparing and serving foods to patrons, various cleaning and sanitation tasks, and managing the cash register.
• May assist with catering and working on other community events as needed.
