Qualifications

About the Role

Beth Anne Place Supportive Living is seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join our culinary team.

In this role, you will prepare nutritious, flavorful meals while helping create a positive dining experience for our residents. We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking, works well with a team, and takes pride in food quality, safety, sanitation, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines

Ensure meals are prepared and served safely, consistently, and on time

Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures

Accommodate resident dietary needs and special meal requirements as directed

Properly store, label, and rotate food

Assist with kitchen inventory, food storage, and restocking supplies

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment

Collaborate with dietary team members to provide an enjoyable resident dining experience

Communicate resident preferences, concerns, and dietary needs appropriately

Assist with meal preparation for special events and community celebrations as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous cooking or food preparation experience

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines

Strong organization and time-management skills

Ability to work 10-hour daytime shifts, four days per week

Every other weekend availability is required

Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, supportive living, long-term care, healthcare, or high-volume food service is preferred but not required.

Experience preparing meals for large groups and familiarity with special diets or dietary restrictions is also a plus.
