Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a caring Cook for The Barclay at Sarasota, a senior living community, where excellence in service and wellness are valued. In this role you will prep, plan and cook meals per menus, maintain high hygiene standards, and work collaboratively in a team to provide hospitality that meets residents' needs.

Flexible shifts including holidays are required. You will contribute to a warm, resort-style dining experience and help promote safety, quality and compassion in daily

Qualifications

• Must have a caring heart and be willing to serve others.
• High School Diploma or GED required; culinary training preferred.
• 2 years of related culinary experience.
• Flexible to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends.
• Experience with therapeutic/modified diets preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in food quality and service quality.
• Maintain kitchen standards for teamwork, safety, hygiene and cleanliness; stock supplies as needed.

We are currently looking for a Cook for The Barclay at Sarasota

Primary Responsibilities of the Cook:

• Prep, plan and cook meals according to established menus
• Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in food quality and service quality
• Maintains or exceeds standards of a kitchen environment that promotes teamwork, safety, proper hygiene and cleanliness Stock supplies as needed
• Willingness to work in a senior living environment and prepare food which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards.

Requirements

Education/Experience

• Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Trade School/Associate/Bachelor's degree in culinary (preferred)
• 2 years of related culinary experience
• Self-motivation and creativity in culinary experience a plus
• Good knife skills and familiar with all cooking methods
• Experience with therapeutic/modified diets (preferred)
• Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including holiday and weekends
