Job summary

The Barclay House at Carrollton is seeking a Full-Time Cook in Carrollton, GA, to join its senior living community and prepare meals per established menus with hospitality and service in a resort-like setting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of culinary experience, a High School Diploma/GED, and flexibility for weekend/holiday shifts; culinary training is preferred and knife skills are important.

Qualifications

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• 2 years of related culinary experience.
• Trade School/Associate/Bachelor's degree in culinary (preferred).
• Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including holidays and weekends.
• Experience with therapeutic/modified diets (preferred).
• Good knife skills and familiar with all cooking methods.

Looking for a Full-TIme cook, Every other weekend required:

Primary Responsibilities of the Cook:

• Prep, plan and cook meals according to established menus
• Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in food quality and service quality
• Maintains or exceeds standards of a kitchen environment that promotes teamwork, safety, proper hygiene and cleanliness Stock supplies as needed
• Willingness to work in a senior living environment and prepare food which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards.

Education/Experience

• Trade School/Associate/Bachelor's degree in culinary (preferred)

• Self-motivation and creativity in culinary experience a plus
• Good knife skills and familiar with all cooking methods

• Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including holiday and weekends
