Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Gilman, IL is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents and staff. You will maintain a clean kitchen, ensure safety, and support recovery through shared meals. Reports to the Dietary Manager in a full-time schedule with varied shifts.

Responsibilities include planning meals with dietary needs, supervising staff, managing inventory, and enforcing sanitation standards. Healthcare setting experience is preferred, ServSafe a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Cook or in a related role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage storage to minimize waste.
• Enforce hygiene and sanitation practices per health regulations.
• Coordinate meal schedules with staff and address dietary concerns.
• Work with dietitians and healthcare professionals to meet dietary needs.
• Monitor food quality and make adjustments as necessary.

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team and help create a supportive and nourishing environment for our patients and staff. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards. Your contribution will be essential in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery and fostering a sense of community through shared meals.

Position Details

• Reports to: Dietary Manager
• Schedule: Full-Time, Tuesday - Thursday, 10:00am-6:30pm & Friday - Saturday, 5:30am-2:30pm
• Location: Gilman, IL.
• Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
