Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while following food safety guidelines and maintaining a clean kitchen.

The role requires following recipes and dietary restrictions, with strong communication to residents, staff, and leadership. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and extended standing, with state-required training as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate with occupants and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• May require sanitation and safety training.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as per state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent service.
• All other duties as assigned.
