Tailwind Concessions inside the LSE airport in La Crosse, WI is hiring a Cook (Line Cook / Short Order) with Barista cross-training. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes on flat tops and fryers, while delivering high-quality meals and a great guest experience in a fast-paced airport setting.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining food safety, assisting with barista duties after training, stocking, and keeping a clean workspace.

Qualifications

About the Role:

If you're passionate about food and providing great service, join the Tailwind team at our location inside of the LSE airport! We are seeking an enthusiastic Cook (Line Cook / Short Order) with Barista cross-training to deliver high-quality meals and an excellent guest experience in a fast-paced airport environment.

As a Cook, you will prepare and cook a variety of dishes using flat top grills, fryers, and short-order methods while maintaining strong food safety and quality standards. This role also includes cross-training as a Barista, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills and take on additional responsibilities.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen, values consistency and teamwork, and wants to grow within the food & beverage industry—all with consistent schedule typical of airport hours.

Pay: $14.50/hr + tips (all credit card tips are paid on your check bi-weekly)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and cook food using flat top grill, fryer, and short-order techniques
• Provide consistent, high-quality food by following all recipes and presentation standards
• Maintain knowledge of food safety procedures, including proper food handling and temperature control
• Assist with barista duties including preparing coffee and specialty beverages (after training)
• Prep ingredients and ensure proper stocking levels
• Restock and replenish product and inventory supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspace
• Follow all health and safety guidelines
• Work as part of a team to deliver a fast, friendly guest experience
• Interact with customers in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications/Skills:

• Previous cook, line cook, or food service experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen procedures
• Basic knife skills and kitchen safety knowledge
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle heat, stand for extended periods, and manage multiple tasks
