Food City in Jasper, AL is hiring for a Food Service Associate. You will deliver friendly, efficient customer service, work as part of a team, and help keep the store running smoothly with flexible cross-training across areas.

Responsibilities include food preparation, grill orders, meat/cheese slicing, proper stock rotation, and ensuring accurate packaging. Benefits include strong 401(k) and stock ownership, health plans, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times.
• Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork to support the store mission.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Prepare all food for the Food Service department per guidelines.
• Prepare and produce quality food and products to meet expectations.
• Prepare grill orders and use fryer per guidelines.
• Slice meats and cheeses and assist in product rotation.
• Maintain clean workstations and assist in stocking.
• Assist in ordering products and supplies as needed.
• Ensure packaged self-service items have correct weights and ingredients.
