Job summary

SONIC Drive-In restaurants offer flexible hours, a great pay scale, a cool uniform and camaraderie with fantastic co-workers. As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant Cook, you will oversee the Appetite Satisfaction Department, operating Food Production, Grill, Fryer and other tasks as needed.

Candidates must be able to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays; have good communication, basic math and reading skills; follow directions and maintain hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to cross-train on all stations (Food Production, Grill, Fryer).
• Effective communication and basic math/reading skills.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain appearance/hygiene standards.
• General knowledge of the restaurant/retail operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food orders to meet product quality standards.
• Perform food preparation and portioning.
• Cook on the grill and operate the fry station.
• Dress items to order and package all menu items.
• Check product quality and consistency; ensure sanitary food area.
• Support cleaning including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes, wiping counters.
