Job summary

Wingstop in Denver is seeking a Cook who prides themselves on quality food and consistency. You will follow safety and sanitation policies, learn cooking and saucing guidelines, and ensure the right amount of food is prepared per order to minimize waste.

You’ll read order tickets, coordinate timing with the team, keep the kitchen clean, and support the Manager on Duty with safety, sanitation, and coaching of new cooks.

Qualifications

• Guest service mentality with a genuine desire to serve the highest level of food and customer service.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights and/or holidays.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality with or without accommodation.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and sanitation policies; including fryer shortenings daily.
• Learn and execute cooking and saucing guidelines to ensure quality.
• Prepare correct amounts per order to minimize waste.
• Read tickets and prepare orders promptly.
• Coordinate ticket times to ensure on-time guest orders within readiness times.
• Keep the kitchen clean; follow closing sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with Manager on Duty on safety, sanitation, or team issues.
• Mentor new cooks and support the General Manager.
• Follow directions and ask for clarification when needed.
• Understand the importance of hygiene and food handling.
