Job summary

Burgermaster is growing and seeks cooks to prepare and cook to order, manage prep across pantry, fry, and stations, and maintain station setup according to guidelines.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma or equivalent, restaurant experience, and a food handler’s permit within 7 days of hire. Applicants should be able to lift 50 pounds, work nights and weekends, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks to order foods in the pantry, fry and/or stations in the kitchen.
• Food prep including slicing, cutting, chopping food daily.
• Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares and cooks food according to instructions, in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Restocks items as needed.
• Cleans work area and food preparation equipment.
• Assists with cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
• Responds promptly to customer needs.
• Responds to requests for service and assistance.
• Observes safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures, determines appropriate action beyond guidelines and reports unsafe conditions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
