Job summary

Job Summary We are seeking a Cook who is familiar with the Child and Adult Food Program under USDA for children ages 12 months to 12 years. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing meals and menus in accordance with USDA standards and CACFP guidelines for credible meals. The ideal candidate is experienced, creative, and committed to creating an excellent experience for patrons. If you have a passion for creating meals that “wow,” we want to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create menus according to CACFP guidelines for specific seasons
  • Set up the kitchen with the necessary tools and equipment
  • Prepare food according to the CACFP creditable meals standard
  • Know the portions designated according to the age of the children
  • Obtain daily counts of children present
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members
  • Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
  • Follow all food safety regulations
  • Keep the kitchen clean and safe
  • Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
