Cooks are responsible for creating great guest experiences by serving quality food in a timely manner. You will receive and stock inventory, prepare, cook, and assemble orders, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and follow food safety and quality standards according to standard operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following activities:

  • Complete all training requirements including:
  • Zaxbys Back of House Development Plan
  • Hands-on stations training
  • Any additional training required by Zax LLC
  • Provide friendly, enthusiastic service for all guests
  • Maintain awareness of current promotions
  • Represent the Zaxbys brand enthusiastically
  • Assist with guest service and front of house operations
  • Prepare menu items according to company standards in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Handle food and beverages following safety regulations
  • Operate food preparation and cooking equipment safely
  • Maintain product levels in stations for immediate needs
  • Prepare and cook food according to standards
  • Assemble and package guest orders accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Keep work areas organized
  • Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with inventory and storage management
  • Receive and stock inventory deliveries
  • Store food following safety guidelines
  • Inform management when inventory is needed
  • Clean storage areas
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Complete tasks promptly and safely, following safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years or older
  • Ability to work 32 to 40 hours per week
