Job summary

Sun Outdoors in Florida seeks a kitchen cook to prepare a variety of items and maintain a clean, safe cooking area. You will assist with daily specials, restock supplies, and help ensure menu items are available and presented well.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of restaurant cook experience, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Certifications in food handling are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of restaurant cook experience required.
• Basic computer skills including email and internet use.
• Knowledge of food preparation and presentation required.
• Professional appearance required.
• Food Handling Certification required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food ordered by customers using various kitchen equipment.
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
• Maintains clean and sanitary cooking areas and food storage.
• Restocks products as needed during shifts.
• Collaborates with Restaurant Manager on daily specials and new menu items.
• Monitors menu cycles and notifies shortages.
