Job summary

Northwood Hospitality LLC is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary department. You will prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, following recipes and standards to ensure consistent quality in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

You will collaborate with other kitchen staff, assist with inventory and special events, maintain a clean, organized workspace, and adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or hotel kitchen preferred.
  • Strong culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Food Handler's Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to recipes and standards.
  • Ensure that all food is of the highest quality and meets our strict standards.
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
  • Assist with special events and catering as needed.

Job Overview

As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing delicious meals that delight our guests. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure consistent food quality, efficient kitchen operations, and adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
