Job description

We are hiring a full-time Cook/Dietary Aide to work in a collaborative team setting providing healthy, homemade meals at a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Chicago, IL (West Peterson Ave, 60659, near Lincolnwood and North Park). This position is full-time (32 hours/week), with days and afternoons shifts, including weekend rotation.

Job Summary

The Cook/Dietary Aide alternates between cooking and dietary aide duties, preparing, serving, and delivering food according to menus, recipes, sanitary standards, and policies. Our team supports the religious life of sisters by creating a warm, caring environment that fosters meaningful interactions and teamwork.

Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in institutional food service.
  • Experience in eldercare settings preferred (e.g., assisted living, long-term care, hospital).
  • SERV Safe certification preferred.
  • Cook or Prep Cook experience is a plus.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
