We are hiring a full-time Cook/Dietary Aide to work in a collaborative team setting to provide healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Chicago, IL (West Peterson Ave, 60659, near Lincolnwood and North Park). This is a full-time position (32 hours per week) working days and afternoons, including a weekend rotation.

General Summary

The Cook/Dietary Aide serves in a dual role that alternates between cook duties and dietary aide responsibilities throughout the work shift. This dual position is responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering food within the convent according to established menus, recipes, sanitary standards, and according to established policies and procedures.

Education And Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an institutional food service environment.
  • Experience in an eldercare setting is preferred (e.g. assisted living, long-term care, hospital, or other health care environments).
  • SERV Safe certification preferred.
  • Cook or Prep Cook experience is a PLUS!
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
