Job summary

Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, IA is hiring a Cook for our 100-bed skilled nursing community. You will help plan menus, prepare meals, and ensure nutrition and quality of life for residents in a compassionate setting.

As a Cook, you will contribute to meal planning, serve meals that are appetizing and safe, and follow dietary guidelines and safety standards. Healthcare dietary experience is a plus; training in food safety and modified diets is provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, meeting guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals that provide a dignified dining experience and support residents’ comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced and presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents and incorporate feedback into meal service whenever possible.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities
