Cassia Community's Meadowview of Johnston is hiring a Cook/Culinary Assistant to prepare meals for residents and staff in a warm healthcare setting. This full-time role offers day shifts and on-the-job training.

You will follow recipes, monitor stock, provide excellent service, maintain cleanliness, and support a compassionate kitchen team in Johnston, IA 50131.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of commercial cooking/food preparation experience required.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and families.
• Work within the department to provide quality and nutritious meals and service to residents.
• Assist with food preparation and serving meals to residents.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary dietary department.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen and dining rooms.
• Assist residents, employees, and guests with a broad range of dietary needs.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Cook/ Culinary Assistant Responsibilities
