Job summary

CREATE Rehab in New York, NY is seeking a Cook to prepare congregate meals for our congregate meal program. The Cook reports to the Lead Chef and supports the Create Residential unit.

The role requires maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions, following menus, and coordinating groceries and inventories. Night/weekend availability may be needed; prior food prep experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess Food Handling Certification.
• Previous related experience in food preparation.
• Ability to read and write English in order to follow written menus, recipes and work schedules.
• Ability to keep simple inventory of supplies on hand.
• Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with other staff and residents.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
