Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and catered events at our Goshen, IN location. The Cook will operate ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and other kitchen equipment, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining proper food temperatures, stocking and rotating inventory, and assisting with inventory and forecasting needs.

• Inspect and clean food preparation areas and equipment to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Maintain proper cooking temperatures by controlling ovens, broilers, grills, and other equipment.
• Check freshness and rotate stock; follow labeling and dating procedures.
• Monitor and determine if foods are cooked through using taste, smell, and thermometers.
• Prepare stations and follow company guidelines for meal service.
• Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables and other foods.
• Measure and mix ingredients per recipes with supervisor guidance.
• Prepare fruits and vegetables; carve and trim meats and seafood for service.
• Assist in baking breads, pastries, and desserts; wash pots and pans as needed.
• Maintain records of food usage and assist with inventory; forecast preparation needs.
• Provide timely food service to customers and support culinary staff as directed.
• Communicate equipment and supply needs to supervisor; adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
