Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality is seeking a Cook in Fort Wayne, IN to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and catered events. You will operate ovens, stoves, slicers, and other kitchen equipment while delivering strong customer service and teamwork.

The Cook reports to the Chef or Chef Manager and adheres to safety and sanitation standards, with responsibilities including food preparation, stock rotation, and helping with inventory. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean food preparation areas to ensure safe and sanitary practices.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, roaster temperatures to ensure proper cooking.
• Check freshness, rotate stock and label items.
• Cook and prepare foods and determine doneness using tasting and thermometers.
• Prepare stations and follow company guidelines for portions and recipes.
• May bake breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries.
• Assist in inventory and forecasting of preparation needs.
• Provide excellent customer service and interact with customers.
