Job summary

Levy Restaurants is hiring a Cook for Bear Mountain in a fast-paced grab-and-go kitchen. You will prepare and cook a variety of meals, follow standardized recipes, and ensure high quality while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

The position is seasonal winter, requires weekends and holidays, and is 18+. Starting pay is $21/hour, with opportunities for wage access through Instapay and other associate perks within our benefits program.

Qualifications

• Experience using knives, cookware and common kitchen tools.
• Knowledge of grilling, baking, boiling and other methods.
• Ability to work well with others in a busy kitchen.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds during shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to participate in a fast-paced grab and go kitchen environment. A Cook in the position will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals, ensuring that the food is of high quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets, directs and responds to guest questions and needs in a timely manner
• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
• Serves meals by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.

Skills And Qualifications

• Experience in using cutting tool, cookware and other kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
• Ability to work as a team
• Great communication skills
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
