Job summary

LifeBridge Health’s Northwest Hospital in Baltimore County is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals for patients, cafeteria guests, and special functions. You will follow standardized recipes, monitor serving portions, and ensure dishes meet safety and temperature standards.

Your role supports patient care by delivering high-quality meals while maintaining clean and safe work areas, with opportunities for growth through tuition reimbursement and wellness programs.

• Reviews portion sizes and serving utensils with Cafeteria Cooks & Special Function Aide.
• Prepares baked goods for patient services, cafeteria service, and special functions.
• Prepares hot & cold food items for special functions as needed.

Summary

Responsible for the preparation, display and service of all food items for patients, special functions, and cafeteria service. Maintains high standards of sanitation and safety in the work area.

Follows standardized recipes on production sheet to produce foods according to established par levels and to minimize food waste and ensures that the food is cooked to the appropriate temperature. Reviews portion size and serving utensils with Cafeteria Cooks & Special Function Aide. Prepares all baked goods for patient services, cafeteria service, special functions. Prepares hot & cold food items for special functions as needed
