Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a Cook to prepare meals according to standardized recipes and menus for our residents in Carlsbad, California. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while complying with dietary modifications and safety standards.

This role requires maintaining a clean kitchen, proper storage, and accurate temperature records. You’ll support dining services and lead production when needed.

Qualifications

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.
